Hi! My name is Lindsey Pruitt and you're probably reading this because you want to know more about who I am and why I am on the World Race!
I've lived in Arkansas my whole life (Woo Pig!) and currently live in the Northwest Arkansas area. I grew up in Fort Smith, AR and am the youngest of four girls. My position is unique because there are major age gaps in my family that made it feel like I was an only child growing up. My oldest sister and I are 22 years apart! Our family is loving and close and we do a lot with each other.
I graduated from the University of Arkansas and began working in Marketing right out of college. I worked in sales for 7 years before I felt God calling me out of the corporate world. I spent the last year consulting fifty percent of the time so I could get more involved with church and missions. That led me to going on two trips to Africa in February and March of this year, back to back! Now that I am going on the race, I can see what God was preparing me for.
I love flowers (I have a floral design company on the side), hospitality (I ran an airbnb out of my house for a while), community (I lead a group of high school girls at my church), deep talks (I don't know how to small talk), music (I was the one who burned CDs for all my friends in college), babies (I hold babies in the church nursery as much as i can), National Parks (I've been to four this year), travel ( I spent this summer on a 5 week, 6 state road trip) and a whole lot of other things including my family, friends and my relationship with Jesus.
I am a two, wing one on the enneagram!
I turned 30 this year!
I am a business minded, wildly curious, loving person who smiles biggest when I get to catch a glimpse of God in Nature. If it's a beach vs. mountains question, I'll always choose mountains.
My very favorite place on earth so far? A little fishing town in Maine I've called home every summer since I was 5 weeks old.
I am pursuing World Race Expedition because I believe that we all are called to take part in the great commission. After experiencing Africa back to back, I realized that my heart for the nations was growing at an increasing rate and had been wondering how I would continue to fuel my growing need to see God moving in unreached places. I learned about the World Race this summer and after prayer and a whole lot of research decided to apply to see what God would do. Now, here we are!
I'm looking forward to watching God move in and around me in 2020!
